The Spirit Guardian Asena
Introduction:
For my Art Portfolio One project I was inspired by the ancient Turkish myth of Asena, a legendary wolf.
The story tells about a strong and wise wolf who protects and guides people when they are in danger. I wanted to show this idea through my own art style by designing characters and creating scenes that tell the story visually.
This project helped me understand how to take ideas from old myths and turn them into my own art.

Asena Roar Concept Sketch
This sketch shows the moment when Asena appears and lets out a powerful roar.
I got the idea while thinking about how a wolf would show its strength and protect the village.
I wanted to draw a strong and dramatic pose to show Asena’s power and spirit.
But I decided to not use this idea for my cover page.
Asena Watching Concept Sketch
This sketch shows the moment when Asena is quietly watching the village from far away.
I came up with this idea by thinking about how a guardian wolf would always stay alert and protect people without them even knowing.
I wanted to show her calm but serious look, like she is ready to help if danger comes.
This sketch was also a way for me to focus on the pose and the feeling of safety that a silent protector can give.
